Senior Manager: ICT Business Continuity

The position of Senior Manager: ICT Business Continuity is vacant. The Senior Manager: ICT Business Continuity will report directly to the Chief Information Officer and forms part of the Information and Communications Technology Division. 
The position is based at GEMS Head Office, Pretoria.
The total remuneration package will be will be based on qualifications and experience.
The Senior Manager: ICT Business Continuity will be required to support the CIO in the operationalization and implementation of the Digital Strategy Programs and Enterprise Architecture across the entire Scheme.
 
Overall responsible for coordinating and producing reports and ICT regulatory documents required for submission by the CIO to the governance the Board of Trustees and other Operational Areas that enhance business processes and provide support to the Chief Information Officer through the following KPA’s:

Key Performance Areas (KPAs):
  • Organise and coordinate ICT programs and provide strategic guidance
  • Develop and coordinate the ICT Division Budget
  • Develop the ICT Divisional Procurement plan
  • Coordinate procurement services
  • Develop strategic programs to support the CIO
  • Responsible for the preparation of memos, correspondence and presentation
  • Coordinate the management of complex issues with regards to Enterprise Architecture that may arise as programs seek to deliver benefits.
  • Coordinate the program’s people and vendors and the correspondence between them including programme and project documentation.
  • Collaborate with programme and project teams for successful delivery and optimal return on investment of ICT Digital Strategy Programme and Enterprise Architecture.
  • Collaborate with Divisional Management & Risk Management and Compliance to develop the Divisional Risk Plan.
 
 
Qualification requirements are:
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant work experience in a ICT role
  • Minimum 5years managerial experience
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have the ability to work well as part of a team
  • Be computer literate on an advanced level
  • Have a diligent work ethic with attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and pro-active
  • Have Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability give advice and engage with various stakeholders
  • An understanding of the Medical Schemes Industry would be advantageous.
