Advert – Procurement Associate
WSCS-01
The position of Procurement Associate is vacant. The Procurement Associate will report directly to the Senior Manager: Procurement and forms part of the Corporate Services Division.
The position is based at Head Office, Pretoria.
The total remuneration package will be based on qualifications and experience.
The Procurement Associate will be required to provide support to the Senior Manager: Procurement through the following KPA’s:
Key Performance Areas (KPAs)
- Assist and participate in the development of an annual procurement plan
- Develop and maintain procurement template documentation and process flows
- Assist in the preparation of the adjudication documentation
- Coordinate and administration of the registration, vetting and development of suppliers
- Coordinate the administration of the Bid Committee system
- Maintain the supplier database
- Coordinate procedural administrative duties
Qualification requirements are:
- Certificate or Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
- 1-2 years sound knowledge of and experience in supply chain management process, systems and procedures
- Proven ability to prioritize work load
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to confidentially interact at all levels within and outside the Scheme
- Proactive, trustworthy and high output drive individual.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Solid organizational skills
- Good communication and writing skills
- Attention to detail
