The role of the Trackless Supervisor is to effectively manage a multi-disciplinary team of Trackless Artisans, to ensure health and safety standards are adhered to and that the Drill Rig fleet is maintained to the highest standards to increase availability and reliability. POSITION: Trackless Supervisor Engineering

- Relevant Trade Certificate
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a mechanized mining environment as an Artisan and 2 years in a Supervisory capacity
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure Health and Safety of section and team members by applying relevant standards and procedures in all planning and execution of maintenance activities
- Perform inspections in accordance with the MHSA regulations and company standards
- Contribute to the culture of Zero Harm by adhering to all requirements as laid down by legislation health safety environmental security policies and procedures and by the application of specific instructions to own work area and task completion
- Lead and supervise team to ensure optimal safe working practice, focussed preventative maintenance and breakdown management and, special tasks/projects as assigned
- Manage all team performance, development, and coaching to ensure optimal delivery
- Carry out Planned Task Observations (PTOs) to verify capability of team members and initiate remediation measures to improve individual capability which includes on-the-job coaching
- Lead and participate in failure investigations on installations, equipment, components, etc. to implement and/or recommend changes in maintenance and operating practice and, engage with OEM, suppliers and intermediaries as required to assist with investigations and the formulation of remediation interventions, etc.
- Responsible for implementation of the asset management strategy and tactical interventions in respect of all related installations, plant, equipment, etc. in area of responsibility
- Engage and participate in mechanised development process optimisation interventions to ensure continuous alignment to prescribed best practice standards
- Responsible for the maintenance of trackless equipment and to maintain standards and conditions within the TM3 section
- Responsible for the safe and proper installation of equipment
- Participate in and formulate annual section budgets, manage budget, spares inventory, including the placing and follow-up of orders

- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment
Key Competencies:
- Proven track record in safety leadership

- Independent, proactive thinker and ability to schedule
- Extensive knowledge of all the various components related to Mining Machinery e.g., Engines/Transmissions/Convertors/Cylinders/Valves/Rock drills/Compressors etc.
- Knowledge of machinery and reliability fundamentals
- Functional knowledge of primary predictive technologies such as Vibration, Infrared Thermography, Oil Analysis, Ultrasonic Analysis and Motor Current Analysis
- Be computer literate in MS Office
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure health, safety and security of self and team by applying safety and security standards and procedures in the execution of maintenance activities
- Contribute to a culture of zero harm by adhering to all requirements as laid down by legislation, health, safety, environmental, security policies, and procedures, and by the application of specific instructions to own work area and task completion
- Promotes and develops team work to become an effective team member
- Analyse and trend predictive maintenance data to improve machine reliability
- Develop, implement, and maintain condition monitoring dashboards
- Ongoing collaboration with the reliability and maintenance teams to develop and review maintenance and condition-based-maintenance strategies
- Carry out planned task observations to identify any poor-quality workmanship to improve the component life on all Equipment and machinery
- Identify, initiate, and implement improvement Quality projects to increase operational efficiencies and Equipment Reliability
- To ensure that mechanical equipment in Trackless Engineering is maintained in a highly effective state in accordance with the company’s procedures for operations
- Ensure that the condition monitoring of equipment, scheduled and planned maintenance are conducted timeously and effectively

This initiative offers unemployed youth from our host communities the opportunity to enter an immersive and experiential work orientation cadette programme. The programme is intended to offer cadettes an introduction into the workplace, basic safety practice orientation and, workplace immersion skills working alongside experienced employees as preparation to enter the formal job market after completing a 12 month programme
Minimum Requirements:
- Historically Disadvantaged South Africans (HDSA) between the ages of 18 – 24

Role Details
Gold Fields is currently seeking a Vice President: Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Data Management and Disclosure to join the Group Sustainable Development team. Reporting to the Executive Vice President Sustainable Development, this role will lead the implementation and management of credible and compliant group level ESG disclosures, assurance and disclosure frameworks and managing risks, reputation and emerging trends.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the implementation and oversight of ESG reporting systems, assurance and disclosures across functions and regions.
- Lead the development of ESG assurance and disclosure targets, standards, systems, reporting, performance tracking, assurance and change management to facilitate the delivery of the strategies while enhancing Gold Fields’ reputation and mitigating ESG disclosure risk. Demonstrate Gold Fields’ leading commitment to ESG and build long term credibility through influencing planning, reliable monitoring, assurance, and credible reporting of ESG, environmental, safety and social performance.
- Develop and implement the Group ESG assurance and disclosure strategy in response to Gold Fields' mining operations, stakeholder, emerging disclosure, and reporting expectations
- Design to ensure alignment with existing and new ESG disclosure requirements of external compliance requirements, disclosure and reporting frameworks and trends (such as ICMM, WGC, SEC, ISSB etc.)
- Drive credible, transparent, timeous, multi-stakeholder focused, compliant and assured ESG disclosures to the Gold Fields Board and Executive Management with a collaborate and multifunctional approach between relevant corporate functions and the regions
- Lead and support the Group sustainability non-financial data reliability, management, reporting, assurance, and disclosures to ensure full validation of disclosed ESG data
- Support business decision making processes and the integration of ESG disclosure priorities into Group policies, business strategy, planning, systems and processes
Key factors to your success include:
- Post Graduate Bachelor's (Honours) Degree in Environmental Science, Social Science, Mining Engineering, or a related sustainable development field
- A proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in ESG, environmental performance, safety, health and well-being and social performance
- Broad knowledge of the business and its contribution to and against stakeholders
- Leadership experience with ESG, environmental performance, safety, health and well-being, or social performance
- Experience in collaborating with senior management to integrate ESG, environmental performance, safety, health and well-being, and social performance into the overall business strategy
