Primary Task & Key Responsibilities:

  • Key areas of responsibility include coordinating onboarding and offboarding activities, maintaining accurate employee records in Workday, and providing consistent administrative support across multiple countries and jurisdictions.
  • Responsible for preparing employment contracts, amendments, termination agreements, and related documentation in line with global and local requirements for multiple locations. Ensure accuracy and consistency of terms and conditions for all contracts. Collaborate with HR Leads to update templates as necessary.
  • Responsible for timely delivery of any HR administrative documentation, in keeping with defined service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Responsible for doing the end-to-end employee onboarding and offboarding included but not limited to the below,
  • Onboarding: working with the Talent Acquisition teams from the point of offer acceptance; initiate hire process in Workday; schedule induction sessions and support IT and Office Services with new joiner logistics.
  • Offboarding: ensuring timely processing of terminations in Workday; all supporting documentation and access revocation.
  • Intercompany transfer: supporting both onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Initiate processes for all transactions in Workday for new joiners, leavers and all employee life cycle changes, within payroll processing deadlines for all locations within scope.
  • Raise tickets/escalations where required and track issue resolution.

  • Lead and manage the Instrumentation team to achieve operational, maintenance and reliability targets
  • Provide technical leadership and governance for all plant instrumentation, PLC, SCADA and control systems
  • Ensure the safe and reliable installation, maintenance and optimisation of instrumentation and control infrastructure across the plant
  • Drive plant reliability, equipment availability and process optimisation initiatives
  • Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance strategies for instrumentation assets
  • Lead fault finding, root cause analysis and failure investigations relating to control and instrumentation systems
  • Oversee shutdown planning, execution and post-shutdown performance reviews
  • Manage instrumentation-related capital projects, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, statutory requirements, HSEC standards and company procedures
  • Manage budgets, contractor performance, spare parts and SAP PM reporting for instrumentation department
  • Provide leadership, coaching and development to the instrumentation team
  • Participate in standby and provide senior technical support during plant breakdowns and critical incidents

 

About you:

  • NQF7 or higher in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or related field
  • Instrumentation Trade Test
  • Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in industrial instrumentation, control systems and process optimisation within heavy industry, mining, smelting or metallurgical operations
  • At least 3–5 years’ leadership / supervisory experience
  • Extensive experience in PLC, SCADA, DCS programming, fault finding and development
  • Strong project management and continuous improvement track record
  • Experience with SAP PM, MES, MS Projects and advanced maintenance systems
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement capability
  • ECSA registration will be highly advantageous

The Governance, Assurance & Knowledge Management Partner provides day‑to‑day support for HR assurance activities, helping ensure compliance with Group policies, standards, and reporting requirements. The role focuses on coordinating assurance processes, gathering and reviewing evidence and generating initial insights to support effective governance across local assets and offices. This position also acts as steward for the Global HRs knowledge management, by working closely with HR teams to ensure information is accurate, update to date and structured effectively for team and business consumption.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Policy Design & Implementation

·       Contribute to HR Policy design by providing insight, operational requirements, and practical implementation considerations.

·       Maintain policy documentation and support implementation across jurisdictions.

·       Ensure local teams understand and apply policy requirements consistently.

Assurance Process Delivery & Management

·       Support the Head of HR Governance and Assurance with developing and maintaining HR Assurance Frameworks and processes.

·       Configure and maintain assurance processes and system workflows, working with Group HR Technology and local asset HR teams.

·       Coordinate assurance activities across HR Standards and regulatory requirements with the Head of HR Governance & Assurance guidance.  

·       Review assurance submissions, assess evidence, and generate asset/office‑level insights and findings.

·       Track submission deadlines and follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely completion.

·       Maintain assurance process documentation and guidance.

Regulatory & Standards Compliance

·       Ensure HR standards and external reporting requirements are accurately captured in assurance frameworks, systems, and documentation.

·       Validate and maintain data supporting regulatory and HR Standard compliance.

Data / Evidence Management & Reporting

·       Gather and review evidence and data needed for assurance and external reporting processes.

·       Maintain information and updates within assurance system to support external reporting requirements.

·       Provide the Data & Reporting team with reporting requirements and data inputs.

·       Prepare insights and recommendations based on findings from the assurance processes.

·       Enhance processes to increase accuracy, automation, and efficiency of manual data used for external reporting.

 

Knowledge Management Stewardship

·       Create Servicely Knowledge Management guidance in line with People Operations data governance structure to encourage good knowledge management practices (e.g. naming, positioning, metadata tagging, lifecycle management).

·       Regularly review the Servicely Knowledge Management portal architecture to ensure it remains fit for purpose.   

·       Implement controls / assurance on the Knowledge Management portal to ensure it remains a robust source of truth for People Operations.

 

Qualifications and skills:

·       Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

·       Basic understanding of governance, risk, assurance, or compliance frameworks (or willingness to learn).

·       Comfort working with data and documentation.

·       Strong written communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise knowledge materials.

·       Good interpersonal skills and confidence working with multiple stakeholders.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

 

Level of Education

·       Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field

 

Years of relevant job knowledge

3-5 years of experience in an HR generalist or HR operations role.

 

Language Requirements

Fluent in English. German is a plus
