JUNIOR IT TECHNICIAN (ONE YEAR CONTRACT)
Salary: R 202 233.00 per annum. SL5

Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate, Plus a Certificate in Information Technology, Plus one year experience in IT Environment A drivers Licence will be an advantage.
Competencies: Knowledge and understanding of current trends and developments in IT Serve administration knowledge Familiar with appropriate technology standards and rules Ability to work independently and in a team environment Basic maintenance and repair skills of computers Good initiative and deadline driven Ability to organize workloads and prioritise Adaptability to working conditions Innovative thinking and problem-solving skills Thoroughness, honesty, integrity and the willingness to work hard, coupled with work pride Appropriate communication skills Sound interpersonal qualities.
Duties: Provide IT support to all sites and manage the networking within the college Manage information data and do regular back-ups and deal with connectivity matters Ensure optimum and responsible usage of IT services Ensure that business management system is functional, effective and efficient Maintain software and hardware systems Conduct trouble-shooting and manage internet and e-mail services of the college in relation IT policy Ensure access to e-mail and internet to staff and students Ensure that regular updates are done on the server and other related duties.
