INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME

Gert Sibande TVET College invites graduates with NC(V) L4 in Information Technology or any relevant qualification, must be conversant with MS Office computer packages to participate in the Internship Programme. The programme aims at exposing unemployed young graduates to workplace practices in order to maximize their chances of being employed. Only graduates between the ages of 18 and 35 years are legible to apply 
 
An intern will be paid a stipend of R 3 500.00 per month. 
 
Competencies: Good management skills Problem solving skills Communication skills (verbal and written) Report writing skills A valid driver’s licence will be an advantage.

HR CLERK (ONE YEAR CONTRACT) 
Salary: R 202 233.00 per annum. SL5 
(Ref no. GSC16/2024), Central Office: Human Resource Department 
 
Minimum requirements:  Matric (Grade 12) certificate N6 Certificate in Human Resource Management or Public Management or Labour Relations will be an advantage Plus one year experience in Human Resource Management or Labour Relations Drivers licence will be an added advantage. 
 
Competencies: Strong administration skills, innovative thinking and problem solving skills Ability to perform accurately and methodically under pressure Sound interpersonal relations and a pleasant telephone personality Good planning organizational skills Thoroughness, honesty, integrity and willingness to work hard, coupled with work pride Appropriate verbal and written communication skills Ability to interpret directives  Computer literacy. 
 
Duties: Assist with the college recruitment and selection process Compile and verify payroll schedule  Maintain post establishment for college council employees  Monitor adjustment of qualification and acknowledge of previous experience Receive, sort and capture application forms Attend to all matters pertaining to employment Perform other HR related duties. 
 
 
 
 
GROUNDSMAN (PERMANENT) 
Salary: R 125 373.00 per annum. SL 2 
(Ref no. GSC17/2024), Balfour Campus 
 
Minimum requirements:  Grade 10, Plus one year experience in cleaning service environment. 
 
Knowledge:  Knowledge of repetitive tasks Knowledge of facilities policies Knowledge of relevant legislation, prescripts, policies and procedures Knowledge of hygiene Storage requirement Basic maintenance skills The ability, health and energy to perform strenuous tasks that require hard physical labour Ability to work under pressure. 
 
Duties: Maintain premises and surroundings, Clean premises, surroundings and empty dirt bins Maintain the garden, Watering the garden, Prune and trim flowers and trees, Mow the grass, Remove weeds and garden refuse , Apply insecticides and cultivate the soil for trees and flowers Maintain gardening equipment and tools 
 Detect and report malfunctioning of gardening equipment and tools Repair minor defects of gardening equipment and tools Wash college vehicles Loading, off-loading and movement of goods, stock and assets.
