GUEST HOUSE MANAGER (CONTRACT)
Salary: R 257 508.00 p.a. benefits excluded

Minimum requirements:  Grade 12 plus National Diploma in Hospitality, Business Management or any relevant qualification Adding a proposal on how to make the guest house will be successful will be an added advantage Three years relevant working experience Strong interpersonal, communication, motivational, negotiation and problem-solving skills Strong administration skills Good team worker Ability to prioritise, work independently and meet deadlines Computer literacy A valid driver’s licence.
 
Duties: Manage and supervise staff and manage all operations in the Gert Sibande Guest Lodge Estimate amounts and costs of required suppliers, such as consumables; basic equipment and relevant aids Ensure that all stocks are being kept securely and under the correct conditions applicable to each type of commodity stored Check purchased supplies for quality and account for delivered item Ensure that the conduct and work ethic is hygiene and that a “clean as you go” discipline is adhered to. Ensure adherence to all relevant policies and procedures as applicable to the relevant area of operation 
Account for all financial transactions, keep records and generate all relevant reports Ensure that work procedures or processes meet the set deadlines Communicate any anticipated shortages promptly to the immediate supervisor Oversee work progress to verify occupational health and safety standards Collaborate with other personnel to plan, develop and execute standardized work procedures but not limited to housekeeping, cooking and catering, bookings and accommodation and all other relevant guest services Hold regular maintenance checks and innovations to ensure no equipment breaks down and that accreditation is maintained or upgraded Inspect facilities, supplies, equipment and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards Report any faults or defects to management, paying particular attention to any safety or health hazard Uphold morals, professional ethics and uphold the image of the Lodge and the college as a whole and ensure that employees under your supervision do the same Support the development of the Gert Sibande Guest Lodge towards becoming a fully-fledged guest house.
