- Oversee projects and outside agencies as they relate to GTA creative marketing projects.
- Overseeing design changes and improvements throughout the development process.
- Oversee effective creative services content development including sub-editing and copy editing of all marketing projects.
- Manage the GTA creative brand marketing tools and products (software).
- Develop the creative and marketing content database or resource portal.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Amongst others, the intern will be responsible for:
- Providing support and assistance on Visitor Information Provision on visitor Desks and roadshows.
- Assisting the with the unit administrative support and coordination of general, corporate matters.
- Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage and update all documents within the unit when required.
- Perform administrative duties and support the unit and subunits.
- Assist with filing within the unit and subunits.
- Assist with answering calls within the unit and subunits
- Assist in managing office operations (including scheduling of appointments, diarizing matters within the senior manager’s office)
- Assist with payments of invoices within the unit and subunits. Liase with finance to ensure payments.

- Support the GTA marketing team at live and online events
- Assist with the overall development of the GTA social media accounts tone, language and texture
- Assist with digital campaign implementation
- Perform social media market research
- Assist with monitoring and tracking of social media engagement on GTA platforms to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns
- Assist the GTA Digital Marketing team to analyse analytics to gauge the success of campaigns.

Gauteng Tourism Authority (GTA) requires a strong intern with photography and videography creative skills to support digital marketing and creative brand communications work of the GTA. The candidate will work closely with the brand comms and marketing teams to assist in developing creative concepts and execute photography and videography services (visual content creation) from start to finish. Expertise in camera operation, lighting, sound, and post-production will be essential in delivering polished and professional photographs and videos that meet GTA brand standards. If you are passionate about creating visually stunning multimedia content and have a keen eye for detail, we want you to intern with our team.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Amongst others, the intern will be responsible for:
- Assist with all photo and video creative needs of GTA through planning, executing, and collaborating with the Brand Marketing unit.
- Capture, edit and deliver photos and videos to support GTA’s print and digital marketing materials requirements.
- Work with the Destination Marketing team to promote GTA’s marketing campaigns, services, and events via multimedia creation to convey compelling visual narratives.
- Capture engaging photographs and/or videos to support the creative process of marketing content
- Assist with maintaining a consistent identity of GTA by following brand guidelines while meeting GTA marketing requirements
- Think creatively and develop a robust photo and video library for printed and digital content
- Assist with scheduling content to be published on social media at ideal times
- Assist with monitoring the social media channels and activities
- Assist with managing the GTA social media content calendar

GTA requires a Digital Marketing & Social Media management capacity with strong emphasis on digital content management, production, and focused management support for GTA’s social media channels.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Amongst others, the Officer will be responsible for:
- Assist with the management of GTA’s overall social media channels (accounts)
- Assist with the creation, conception, and presentation of digital marketing integration efforts for marketing campaigns in the GTA.
- Plan and execute conception of digital marketing materials, media and other resources as needed within and ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
- Assist with digital campaign evaluations – Execution, Analysis & Reporting.
- Coordinate with internal marketing teams for the creation of weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote on the various GTA digital marketing platforms
- Liaise with various agencies and internal teams for maximizing destination digital marketing effectiveness
