Title of the Job: Manager: Supply Chain Management
Grade / Level D3 (Paterson)
Location: Sandton
Salary: Market related

Overall Responsibility: To lead and manage the Supply Chain Management Unit of GPF in order to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Performance Areas:
• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the supply chain team
• Provide strategic input to the entity in relation to supply chain management
• Ensure alignment and compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
• Develop and implement annual operational plans
• Manage the procurement budget
• Identify strategic and operational risk and implement mitigation plans
• Manage all aspects of Supply Chain, including maintaining and updating relevant information and records
• Manage all tender processes
• Manage performance and monitor, motivate and develop subordinate staff
Qualification & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and/or Supply Chain Management. A post-graduate qualification will be an added advantage.
Competencies: Extensive knowledge and experience in Supply Chain Management ● Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations including PFMA and Treasury Regulations ● Astute Administrative skills in records management ● Advanced MS Excel ● SAP applications ● Presentation and Communication skills (written and verbal) ● Interpersonal and Team Management ● Ability to be proactive and innovative.
