The Gauteng Partnership Fund is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons for the following position: 
 
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
 
If you want to make an impact on the future of Gauteng you might be interested in the mega role that Mindworx has been exclusively retained to fill: CEO of the Gauteng Partnership Fund (GPF). And we do mean mega. In this position one of your responsibilities would be the implementation of mega human settlement developments. 
 
GPF exists to facilitate the development of integrated, sustainable human settlements for the people of Gauteng. It serves as the funding and implementing agent, raising and managing the capital required for successful implementation. This entails working closely with the private sector to share project risk. GPF is also custodian of strategic provincial land and property and serves as a turnkey property developer and provider of management services.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: • Proactively shape the future of GPF, ensuring its financial and operational sustainability and results • Facilitate industry coordination and cooperative governance • Ensure a strong governance compliance environment • Create strategic and business plans • Develop effective policies and strategies • Advise the Board of Trustees on investments, new product development and existing business opportunities • Ensure accurate management and maintenance of operational and capital resources. 
 
EXPERIENCE: • We’re looking for a minimum of 8 years’ experience at C level and a solid track record in leading and managing significant change in a complex organization with a high annual turnover or portfolio. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires an appropriate post graduate degree and an MBA would be an advantage. 
 

COMPETENCIES: • Strong commercial acumen • Extensive understanding and experience of funding and managing large capital projects, strategic human capital deployment, and governance • Experience and expertise in development finance or infrastructure • Development management in the built environment is required • Ability to manage complex stakeholder and media relationships • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations • Strong leadership skills and experience of change management • Innovation and proactivity • Policy and strategy development. VALUES: The values we value are teamwork, innovation, integrity, proactivity, Ubuntu and environmental sustainability.


This is a five year fixed term contract at F1 level on the Paterson grading system, reporting to the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees. The CEO will be located in Sandton.
