It is the department’s intention to promote equity through the filling of all numeric targets as contained in the Employment Equity Plan. REQUIREMENTS : A Bachelor’s degree in any Social Science. Current registration in terms of the Social Services Profession Act 110 of 1978 as amended. Good knowledge and understanding of the relevant legislation and regulation that governs the area of work. Ten (10) years generic practice as a Social Services Professional after Qualification. Minimum of five (5) years management experience within the Social Welfare environment in the public sector a level of a Policy Developer or Supervision. A valid driver’s licence. Skills and Competencies: Good strategic planning and capabilities, change, financial and project management skills. Strong client orientation. Good conflict resolution and people management skills. Computer literate and excellent verbal and written communications skills.
DUTIES : Manage the Institution in accordance with all applicable legislations (including governance & stakeholder relations). Management of all Social Welfare Service Delivery Programmes and all supporting professions in the institution. Management of Administration and Auxiliary functions (HR, SCM, Finance, Auxiliary, OHS etc). Provide strategic leadership to the institution, including operational planning, performance monitoring and evaluations. Manage the development and implementation of policies and standard operating procedures related to all core and support functions. Manage Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement processes in the institution. Promote the development of children and youth care services.
