DUTIES : The Medical officer post is a general medical officer post in the hospital but will be responsible to work in the Ophthalmology clinic. We can request and if needed to work in any other area in the hospital if the need arises. Rendering of Clinical services in the Ophthalmology, which includes examination and managing patients in the clinic. Identify patients for surgical intervention, pre-operative preparation of patients and post-operative care. Performing and interpreting all relevant examinations in the clinic. Performing ophthalmic procedures in the clinic, and in theatre under supervision of an Ophthalmologist. Participating in all the academic programmes and clinical audit meetings of the department, including supervision and training of junior doctors. Commuted overtime is a requirement for this post.
