Requirements
Diploma/Degree in nursing that allows registration with SANC as Prof Nurse. Diploma/Degree in nursing that allows registration with SANC as a Midwife. A post basic qualification in advanced Midwifery and Neonatal care. Diploma/Degree in nursing administration will be an added advantage. A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing as a professional nurse. At least 6 years of the period above must be appropriate/recognizable experience after obtaining a post basic qualification in advanced Midwifery and Neonatal care. At least 3 years of the period above must be appropriate/recognizable experience at management level. Certified copy of current SANC receipt. Good communication, report writing and facilitation skills. Co-ordination, liaison, leadership and analytical skills. Problem solving, negotiation, planning, organizing and change management skills. Ability to network and manage information.
 
Duties: 
Co-ordination of optimal, holistic, specialized nursing care provided within set standards as a professional frame work. Manage effectively the utilization and supervision of resources i.e. human and financial. Co-ordination of effective training and research. Provision of effective support to nursing services. Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development.
