All shortlisted candidates will be subjected to a technical exercise that intends to test relevant technical elements of the job. Following the interview and technical exercise, the selection panel will recommend candidates to attend a generic managerial competency assessment (in compliance with the DPSA Directive on the implementation of competency based assessments). The competency assessment will be testing generic managerial competencies using the mandated DPSA SMS competency assessment tools. Suitable candidates will be subjected to a personnel suitability check (criminal record, citizenship, credit record checks, qualification verification and employment verification.

SALARY : R1 057 326 per annum (An all-inclusive remuneration package)
CENTRE : Johannesburg
REQUIREMENTS : Matric plus a Bachelor Degree (NQF Level 7) in Financial Management Public Administration/Logistics/Purchasing or equivalent qualification. 6-10 years working experience in supply chain management, which include minimum 5 years in middle management. A valid driver’s license. No criminal record or cases pending against you. Knowledge and skills: In-depth knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations, Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment Policy Framework Act, and Supply Chain Management Framework, In-depth Knowledge of code of conduct for Supply Chain Management Practitioners, In-depth Knowledge of Public Service budget procedures, understand of the Department’s strategic objectives, Knowledge of Safety and Security Framework, Knowledge of BAS,SAP and other relevant information management systems and Public Service SCM policies and procedures, Customer relations management, interpersonal relations skills, conflict management, communication, interviewing, negotiation, facilitation, presentation, report writing and computer literacy skills.
DUTIES : Manage the Departmental bidding and adjudication process in line with relevant policies and standard operating procedures. Establish and maintain proper control systems for Departmental assets and mechanisms aimed at eliminating theft losses, wastage and misuse of assets. Manage Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) with supplier and service providers (Contract Management). Effective and efficient inventory management. Effective and efficient fleet management. Manage resources (Human, Finance, Equipment and Assets).
