POST: ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AND AWARENESS GRADUATESX100
REFERENCE: 2021/01
DURATION: 12 Months Contract
DIRECTORATE: Environmental Empowerment Services
STIPEND: R4500 per month
CENTRE: West Rand, Ekurhuleni, Tshwane, Sedibeng, City of Joburg Municipalities
20 Graduates per Corridor

Requirements:
Grade 12 plus a National Diploma in Environmental Management/ Environmental
Sciences /Nature Conservation (NQF level 6) as recognized by SAQA. Unemployed graduates in the above mentioned disciplines should apply.
 
Competencies:
Candidates should be computer literate and have excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.

 
Duties:
Provide support in conducting environmental awareness activities for municipalities, advocacy groups and schools. Promote conservation, sustainability and climate change education. Facilitate and present on various environmental topics in schools, nature reserves and other related sites. Participate in Bontle Ke Botho (BKB) clean- up campaigns in Municipalities. Host exhibitions on environmental issues. Assist schools to establish environmental projects. Take responsibility for administration work including record keeping, filing, and faxing. Keep stock of stationery and consumables. Communicate and maintain good relations with co- workers, supervisor(s) and relevant stakeholders. Perform any other administrative and professional duties as in when required.

The applicants must be willing to participate in an EPWP employment as regulated by the Ministerial Determination on EPWP.
Recruitment will be in line with the EPWP demographic target of 60% women, 55% youth and 2% people living with disabilities
