JOB SUMMARY
The Financial Reporting Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely preparation and delivery of financial reports and statements. This role involves collaborating with various departments to gather financial data, performing analysis, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Assist with management of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Process financial data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Contribute in the design and development of the Asset Management System.
  • Ensure that all assets are insured and damages to assets are claimed on time.
  • Ensure all assets are recorded and barcoded in the asset register.
  • Perform physical asset verification and submit reports.
  • Monitor and review the  procurement of all new assets in the asset register
  • Manage capturing of asset information on the inventory list (room list) of the asset holder
  • Manage the disposal process in line with Policy.
  • Manage the movement or transfer of inter organisational assets
  • Ensure capturing of monthly depreciation and amortisation.
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Any Adhoc as required and directed by Finance Manager.
 
Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field qualification experience
  • Minimum 3 years post articles experience.
  • Strong GRAP technical knowledge
  • Proficiency in financial reporting software and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis techniques and data interpretation.
  • Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements related to financial reporting and disclosure.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
 
Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and GRAP reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in Caseware and Sage systems.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to provide an internal service promptly, in accordance with company standards.
