ADMINISTRATOR: CAREER GUIDANCE 
Department: Corporate Services 
Reference: ACG/06/21 
Job Grade: B5 
Employment: In line with the SETA license. 
Report: Officer: Marketing, Communication and Branding 
 
Purpose:
To render a well-organized career guidance, marketing, corporate branding support function, and related activities to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Performance Areas (KPAs)
Marketing and Communications Events
  • Assist in the development of the annual stakeholder calendar.
  • Identify correct communication platforms for the external FoodBev audience e.g. via the media, internet, exhibitions and promotions, campaigns and EXPOs, intranet etc.
  • Undertake full organisation of venue & catering arrangements.
  • Compile the agenda in conjunction with the Officer and Manager prior to event and distribute to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure appropriate use of FoodBev branding on all stakeholder events and attend to the procurement process including gifts, marketing collateral and corporate branding material.
  • Book speaker(s) if appropriate, ahead of event and send confirmation/reminder emails prior to the event.
  • Ensure availability of stationery, printing, equipment requirements and other touch points for events.
  • Ensure that feedback is communicated back to external stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Send invitations to various stakeholders and follow-up on confirmations.
  • Liaise with service providers and inform all stakeholders of events arrangements.
  • Obtain stakeholder satisfaction feedback and communicate as appropriate to other FoodBev departments.
  • Assist in monitoring publicity and conducting of research to find out the concerns and expectations of the stakeholders.
  • Work in conjunction with the Officer and Manager to ensure distribution and collection of stakeholder satisfaction/perception surveys.
  • Send invitations to various stakeholders and follow-up on confirmations.
  • Liaise with service providers and inform all stakeholders of events arrangements.

  • Provide career information, assistance and support to high school learners, TVET students, university Students and unemployed youth.
  • Distribution of career guidance.
  • Provide students / Learner counselling and referrals.
  • Organise and facilitate students / Learner outreach programme.
  • Prepare career guidance post event reports.
  • Provide support to auditors during validation period.
  • Maintain all promotional material and stock register.
 
Digital Marketing and – Communications
  • Contribute to the development campaigns using digital communications and social media to highlight FoodBev products offerings.
  • Drive online traffic to the company website.
  • Monitor the online brand and product campaigns to raise Foodbev brand awareness.
  • Ensure availability of stationery, printing, equipment requirements and other touch points for events.
  • Ensure that feedback is communicated back to external stakeholders as appropriate.

Qualification/ Experience
  • A 3-year qualification in Marketing / Communications, Public Relations / Business Administration / Journalism or equivalent.
  • An Honours qualification will be advantageous. 
 
Technical/Legal Certification
Driver’s license.
Computer Literacy: Working knowledge of MS Office Suite; Internet and any other applications required to perform duties.
 
 Years of experience: 1- 3 year | 2 - 3 years | 3 - 4 years
  • 1-3 years’ relevant experience in Career Guidance, Marketing, Communications or Stakeholder Relations.
  • Website design or management will be an added advantage.
  • Understanding of branding principles and application of these in a communications and marketing.
  • Excellent written communications skills, with the proven ability to write engaging copy for a range of channels and audiences.
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills, for face-to-face contact at meetings; presentations and briefings.

  • Basic knowledge of the relevant legislation applicable to FoodBev SETA e.g. Skills Development Act, Skills Levies Act, PFMA etc.
