ASSISTANT SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure compliance with PFMA, National Treasury Regulations and other relevant legislation, in managing the procurement of goods and services of Fasset. The Assistant Manager: SCM will be responsible for strategic sourcing, procurement, conversion, and logistics management services to the FASSET by coordinating and collaborating suppliers, intermediaries, third-party service providers and customers.
 
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Develop and oversee the implementation of the supply chain management system and policies and procedures;
• Develop policies and procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas in line with applicable legislation;
• Recommend the establishment of the bid specification, bid evaluation and bid adjudication committees, and oversee the proper functioning of the committees;
• Manage the Demand Management process;
• Identify preference points system and appropriate goals per commodity in terms of preferential procurement policy objectives
• Assist in the Implementation of the supply chain processes;
• Efficient processing and management of bids and contracts;
• Implement preferential procurement and Broad-Base Economic Empowerment;
• Execute relevant functions as prescribed by the National Treasury from time to time;
• Proactive management and timeous reporting of financial and quarterly report against the procurement plan;
 
SUMMARY
• Liaise with Auditors and manage audit process, while ensuring that all recommendations from Auditors are adequately addressed;
• Identify and communicate to management the sources of possible risk, threats and loopholes;
• Cooperate with the finance function on expenditure related issues and ensure budget adherence;
• Develop operational plan for the unit;
• Provide administrative support services to the Bid Specification, Bid Evaluation and Bid
Adjudication committees and other relevant evaluation and award structures;
• Research, develop and implement strategic procurement practises so that cost saving and socio-economic objectives are achieved;
• Advise Fasset to participate in transversal contracting;
• Promote stakeholder relations through effective communication mechanisms;
• Contract management;
• Ensure timeous payments of suppliers;
• Manage all SCM Databases (CSD);
• Provide continuous leadership, supervision, training, and development of divisional staff ensuring an effective and motivated team and
• Performs related work as and when required;
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
Qualification 
• Minimum NQF Level 7 in Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualification.
• Honours/Post Graduate Diploma at NQF 8 an added advantage
 
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Essential: • 5 years’ experience in a Supply Chain Management environment at supervisory level.
• 3 years’ experience in the public sector implementing PFMA and National Treasury Regulations.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To provide a professional, efficient, and effective Call Centre agent administration function and service FASSET stakeholders.
 
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Take customer calls and provide accurate, satisfactory answers to their queries and concerns.
• De-escalate situations involving dissatisfied customers, offering patient assistance and support.
• Call clients and customers to inform them about the company’s new products, services and policies.
• Guide callers through troubleshooting, navigating the company site or using the products or services.
• Review customer or client accounts, providing updates and information about applications.
• Collaborate with other call centre professionals to improve customer service.
• Compile daily and weekly reports of call centre activities.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
Qualification 
• Any qualification at NQF Level 6
 
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Essential: 
• 2 Years’ experience in a call centre environment or administration is required.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrations on the approval of sector grants and stakeholder needs according to FASSET regulations, processes, and procedures.
 
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
▪ Ensure that employer grants are evaluated, approved and processed according to FASSET criteria, guidelines and standards;
▪ Process all employers grant payments accurately and on time;
▪ Prepare correspondence in relation to grant payments;
▪ Function as a team member for all employer grants processing;
▪ Match employer profiles with categories of grants;
▪ Verify employer and grant details against qualifying criteria and compliance
▪ Assess and track applications during processing;
▪ Process approved applications and all supporting grant administration completed;
▪ Ensure that grant records are filed according to regulations and FASSET standards;
▪ Liaise with stakeholder and internal staff accordingly;
▪ Ensure that grant administration is aligned to the grant approval process
▪ Submit required reports to grants specialist
▪ Document all grant related queries
▪ Track grant processing according to internal service level measures;
▪ Support and participate in Stakeholder engagements;
▪ Administer retrieval and submission of audit documentation
▪ Liaise with Skills Development Facilitators (SDFs) with regards to the WSP/ATR submissions:
 
SUMMARY
▪ Liaise with DHET with regards to the processing and capture Inter-SETA transfers
▪ Ensure that Non levy payer (NLP) employer applications are evaluated, approved, and processed according to FASSET criteria, guidelines and standards
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
Qualification 
• Diploma in Business Management/Administration or Public Administration/Management/Finance at NQF Level 6 or equivalent.
 
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Essential: 
• 2 Years’ experience in an administration environment is required.
• Experience in the Public Sector environment is an added advantage.
 
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
