JOB IDENTIFICATION

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To manage all ICT operations, stakeholders and vendors to ensure support of organisational strategic objectives.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Provide input to the development of the ICT frameworks and strategy.
• Identify ICT architecture and technologies that meet FASSET requirements.
• Manage the provision of effective and efficient ICT services and solutions to various departments within FASSET to enable them to achieve their strategic objectives.
• Responsible for infrastructure, network components and computers.
• Develop and implement ICT policies in compliance with legislative prescripts and alignment to international best practices.
• Formulate ICT performance reports and circulate as per management requirements and FASSET policies and procedures.
• Manage the acquisition of ICT related assets economically, adequately and maintain and protect ICT assets in all respects.
• Manage the installation of only approved software on all FASSET infrastructure and monitor usage of the software.
• Continuously improve current ICT practices and processes.
• Assist in the development and lead the implementation of the annual Operational Plan concerning all ICT functions.
• Manage compliance with all relevant ICT legislation and regulatory frameworks.
SUMMARY
• Embrace and implement cloud technologies and systems.
• Monitor and manage service delivery by external service providers/suppliers and quality assurance according to deliverables as indicated in contractual agreements/SLAs.
• Manage the implementation of formal ICT security-based documentation, auditing, and testing processes.
• Conduct ICT Risk assessment, develop mitigation plans and implement risk action plans.
• Develop and implement effective ICT Service Continuity / Disaster Recovery Plans.
• Monitor the effectiveness of organisational IT systems
• Exercise proper implementation of financial management protocols within the business unit in line with FASSET policies.
• Develop and manage the ICT budgets by ensuring financial stability within the department.
• Implement FASSET performance management policy within the business unit.
• Build and lead an effective and cohesive team through the effective management of human resources.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
Qualification
• A Degree/B-Tech ICT/Computer Science or relevant and equivalent qualification at NQF Level 7
• A Post Graduate Degree is an added advantage.
Certification
• ITIL, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, CompTIA Network+ or CompTIA Security+ will be an added advantage.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Essential:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in ICT environment preferably in the public sector.
• 3 years’ experience in ICT middle management level.

Date of commencement of position
FASSET requires applications for a permanent ICT Manager to join existing team as soon as possible.
SALARY
The salary to be offered for this position is R 1 064 013,22 p.a (TCTC)
