JOB IDENTIFICATION

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The primary purpose of this position is to facilitate the successful implementation of the defined programmes regarding the key projects to deliver the required learning and skills outcomes according to the policy, the PFMA and all relevant statutory requirements.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
 Ensure that employer grants are evaluated, approved, and processed according to
FASSET criteria, guidelines, and standards.
 Process all employers grant payments accurately and on time.
 Prepare correspondence in relation to grant payments.
 Function as a team leader for all employer grants processing.
 Match employer profiles with categories of grants.
 Verify employer and grant details against qualifying criteria and compliance requirements.
 Assess and track applications during processing.
 Draft contingency plan and submitted for approval.
 Monitoring the budget versus the target.
 Process approved applications and all supporting grant administration completed.
 Ensure that grant records are filed according to regulations and FASSET standards.
 Liaise with stakeholder and internal staff accordingly.
 Ensure that grant administration is aligned to the grant approval process.
 Submit required reports to management.
 Resolve all grant related queries.
 Track grant processing and manage according to internal service level measures.
 Quality assures suppliers and processes and check for Service Level Agreements compliance.
 Support and participate in Stakeholder engagements.
 Updating and reviewing online grants application procedures.
 Ensure that all internal correspondence and records are filed and accessible.
 Manage retrieval and submission of audit documentation.
 Implement grant strategy.
 Identify and report administrators’ developmental needs.
 Draft employer grants criteria and submit for approval.
 Assist SDFs / Employers to resolve queries and complete applications correctly.
 Assist with roadshow activities and conduct training provincially.
 Prepare documents for DHET verifications.
 Prepare documents for internal and external audit requests.
 Compile SETMIS reports.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
Qualification
• Matric/Grade 12.
• Diploma in Business Management/Administration or Public Administration/Finance at NQF Level 6.
 
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Essential:
• 3 years relevant experience in implementation of mandatory and discretionary grants/projects management.
• Experience in the SETA environment is advantages.

SALARY
The salary to be offered for this position is R 598,492 per annum (TCTC).
 
ASSESSMENT
