FIBRE PROCESSING MANUFACTURING SECTOR EDUCATION AND TRAINING AUTHORITY (FP&M SETA)
READVERTISMENT: INVITATION TO SERVE ON THE AUDIT & RISK COMMITTEE (ARC) OF THE FIBRE PROCESSING AND MANUFACTURING SECTOR EDUCATION AND TRAINING AUTHORITY (FP&M SETA)
The FP&M SETA hereby invites applications from suitably qualified persons to serve as Chairperson of the FP&M SETA’s Audit & Risk Committee and or two independent members of the Committee as contemplated in Section 77 of the Public Finance Management Act of 1999 (PFMA)
Minimum requirement Qualifying Criteria:
• Professional qualification(s)
• Must have the necessary skills, knowledge and competencies to fulfil their duties and obligations as a member of the Audit and Risk Committee
• Have relevant qualification in at least Accounting, Internal and/or external auditing, Law, Risk Management, Information and Communication Technology
• Have experience as an Audit and Risk Committee member is preferable; or
• At least 5 years relevant experience as a senior manager or executive in the following field/s:
• Membership of a recognised professional body will serve as an advantage (e.g. Admission, CA/SA, CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, RGA etc.)
• Good communications skills
• Analytical and reasoning abilities
• SETA and public Sector experience, understanding of skills development legislation imperatives
KEY FUNCTIONS: successful and suitably qualified applicants will be expected to serve on the Audit Committee, in accordance with the requirements of the PFMA and the King Codes
REMUNERATION: Ability to attend at least four (4) meetings per annum which are remunerated in line with the applicable National Treasury Regulations for Board and Board Committee fees or rate
TERM OF OFFICE: The appointment will be for a fixed term until the 31st of March 2030
