SPECIALIST SECURITY PRACTICES DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAMME (LEARNERSHIP)
The eThekwini Municipality is offering a 12-month learnership programme designed to equip unemployed youth with the skills and experience needed to build a meaningful career in the private & public safety & security sector.
APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
• National Senior Certificate/ Grade 12/Matric qualification
• Must have done and completed Security Officer Grades (Grade E, D, C, B, and A) (certificates must be submitted)
• Must be in possession of a Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSiRA) certificate with a valid update number.
• Must have a General Security practice certificate or military experience (proof required)
• Medically and physically fit due to the nature of security services submit medical certificate conducted by qualified medical practitioner, not older than 3 months).
• Able to work in a team and cope with stressful situations.
• Have No Criminal Record (Security clearance to be submitted)
• Residence in the eThekwini area of jurisdiction (proof of residence required).
• 18-34 years of age (at the advert's closing date).
• Not have any physical disabilities or medical infirmities /illness/condition.
• Unemployed and must Not have participated in a similar programme.

• Individuals must complete the application form and attach relevant documents (certified copies of required qualifications, grades & PSiRA certificates, SA Identity Document, CV, and proof of residence).
• Applicants may be required to undergo various assessments, such as but not limited to verbal/written/medical, physical as part of the recruitment process for consideration.
