ESTATE AGENCY AFFAIRS BOARD (EAAB)
 
Vacancy: Chief Financial Officer (Head Office) 
Term: 5 year fixed term performance – based

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY: To lead and direct the Finance and Administration functions by ensuring the development and implementation of appropriate policies, processes, procedures, guidelines and systems. To ensure the provision of effective finance, procurement, investment management and office administrative support services to enable the EAAB to achieve its overall strategic objectives whilst receiving unqualified audit reports recognizing the EAAB for its level of compliance and sound financial management and corporate governance practices.
 
REQUIREMENTS: CA (SA) 
• A post-graduate qualification in Financial Management or equivalent 
• A minimum of 5 years in a financial environment at a similar level and accountability (including leadership) 
• A proven track record within a broad business area with specific exposure to leading and implementing business/ financial systems 

• Exceptional financial management knowledge 
• Legislation applicable to EAAB including PFMA, GRAP, KING CODE
• Sound understanding of business procedures, rules and processes 
• Good leadership skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide strategic support to the CEO and Executive team
​• Development of operational strategy and business plans annually in accordance with the organisational planning cycle 
• Organisational budget development and management 
• Optimization of Business Performance 
• Financial Management and Sustainability of the EAAB 
• Accurate financial reporting in line with Statutory and legislative requirements 
• Operational risk management and implementation of Financial controls 
• Ensure an effective Procurement Function 
• Preference will be given to candidates whose appointment will enhance representivity.
