Position Summary: The Administrator: International Relations vacancy has become available. This position will be responsible for administering and coordinating international relations related activities, programs, and initiatives to foster strategic international partnerships, collaborations, and diplomatic efforts to advance organizational goals and interests globally. The successful candidate will report to the Manager: International Relations. The seniority and grading of the role will be determined during the recruitment process.

Introduction

Position Summary: The Administrator: International Relations vacancy has become available. This position will be responsible for administering and coordinating international relations related activities, programs, and initiatives to foster strategic international partnerships, collaborations, and diplomatic efforts to advance organizational goals and interests globally. The successful candidate will report to the Manager: International Relations. The seniority and grading of the role will be determined during the recruitment process.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Development/review of document and provide logistic support;
- Co-ordinates and consolidates post workshop comments and inputs;
- Provide administrative support for document developments/reviews in the international relations Business Unit;
- Liaise with internal and international partners on strategic projects;
- Communicate the outcomes of the meeting hosted by the unit with both internal and external stakeholders;
- Organize BU’s meetings timeously;
- Provide administrative support to the Manager IR, IR-BU, international committees and working groups;
- Develop and maintain relationships with international organizations and stakeholders;
- Negotiate, implement, and monitor international agreements and MOUs;
- Coordinate international conferences, workshops, and meetings;
- Research international trends and developments in engineering education and practice;
- Ensure compliance with international protocols, laws, and regulations;
- Coordinate communication with international stakeholders.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Three (3) year relevant tertiary qualification (Diploma/Degree) in Administration, or a similar field;
- Minimum of 3-5 years as an International Relations Administrator or in a similar role;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to work with diverse external and international stakeholders and internal team members;
- Knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and control, including international financial regulations and practices.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Good working knowledge of computer packages including MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook;
- Excellent planning and organisation skills including the ability to prioritise, manage large volumes of work while meeting deadlines;
- The ability to use initiative and maintain output & productivity;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with relevant parties as required;
- A proven track record of working in an environment requiring a high degree of flexibility;
- Ability to engage with stakeholders and understand their needs;
- Excellent attention to detail.
