ADVERTISEMENT OF POSITIONS
 
 
Emalahleni Municipality is a Grade 2 municipality comprising of Indwe, Dordrecht and Cacadu with its seat in Cacadu. Emalahleni Municipality is an equal opportunity employer and subscribes to the principles of employment equity. The Municipality invites suitable qualified candidates to apply for the following positions for a five-year fixed term employment contract. REMUNERATION
A total Remuneration packages Payable in line with the Local Government Upper Limits of total remuneration packages payable to Managers Directly Accountable to Municipal Manager.
 
Certificate in Municipal Finance Management (MFMP) or Certificate Programme in Management Development for Municipal Finance (CPMD) in line with minimum competency requirements as per Notice R493 in Government Gazette 2996 of 15 June 2007. Applicants who have not attained the aforesaid competencies will be expected to attain them within the timeframes specified in Notice no 91 Government Gazette 405 of 3 February 2017.
 
 
 
CORPORATE SERVICES DIRECTORATE
DIRECTOR CORPORATE SERVICES
 
REQUIREMENTS
• B Degree in Administration, Public administration/ Management Sciences/ Law, or equivalent qualification
• 5 Years' experience at senior and middle management level public sector preferable in Local Government or municipal environment
• Valid Driver's licence Code 08.
 
KEY PERFRORMANCE AREAS
• Policy formulation, strategy development, corporate governance promotion.
• Providing strategic support to the Municipality in terms of Human Capital Management, Legal Services,
Information Communication and Technology, Records and Archives Management, Fleet Management and Council Support.
• Implementation of the Human Resources Plan in order to meet the strategic objectives of the municipality.
• Monitoring the implementation of the SDBIP and policies
• Managing the departmental budget
• Knowledge and understanding of relevant policy and legislation
• Knowledge and understanding of institutional governance systems
 
 
 
 
 
COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTORATE

REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor Degree in Social Science/Public Administration/Law or equivalent tertiary qualification
• 5 Years' experience at senior and middle management level at public sector preferable in Local Government or municipal environment will serve as an added advantage.
• Valid Code EB driver's license
• Computer literacy (MS: Word, Power Point, Excel, Internet and E-mail).
• Knowledge of IDP and its processes.
• Ability to diagnose and solve problems.
 
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
• Developing and implementing directorate strategy in line with community based needs.
• Managing and co-ordinating disaster management function.
• Controlling disaster management function in extreme cases.
• Management of integrated strategies for community services
• Establishing working relationships with all stakeholders
• Ensuring that a safe working environment prevails in which compliance with all safety rules, regulations and legislation occurs.
• Monitoring performance of all staff in the directorate
• Monitoring adherence to all municipal by-laws
• Managing operation of municipal facilities
