PERMANENT ACADEMIC AND SUPPORT STAFF POSITIONS
Senior Education Specialist (Head of Division) Business studies
Ref: EWC 13/2019
Minimum salary: R414 003 per Annum (PL 3) Per Annum
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies. Teachers qualification. At least 5 years' appropriate experience in the DIET Sector, Al least 5 years' experience in Curriculum Management, Trained Assessor and Moderator. Knowledge of the relevant legislative policies that governs the public TVET colleges, must be computer literate with a valid drivels license and SACE Registration. Understanding of the functioning of following programmes NC (V); Report 191); Occupational Programmes and working with SETAs among other stakeholders.
Duties: Management of Students, Lecturers and Curriculum Delivery; Implementation of administration processes within the Business Studies division; Ensure effective utilization of resources; Ensure that the college provides innovative learning programs which are responsive to Business, Commerce, Industry and Community needs in collaboration with the College Council and Academic Board;
Assist with student affairs matters; Ensure that Work Integrated learning and Work Based Exposure; Plan and implement quality management in the division; Contribute in drafting of a year planner in advance featuring all operations; Promote outcomes-based education, skills training and learnerships; Ensure that programmes offered equip students with employability skills: Analyse, interpret and make recommendations based on enrolment statistic; Contribute to the management of diploma ceremonies: Manage and control part-time classes, support tuition, company and afternoon classes; Manage the administration and conduct of the National Examinations and Assessment; Establish and maintain records of staff attendance, divisional structure, circulars, timetables, class, training facilities visits and results and assessments; Participate in Learning Area Committees: Support and motivate Senior Lecturers; Encourage, sustain academic excellence, and Improve learner results.
MAINTENANCE AND INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT MANAGER (3 YEAR CONTRACT) Salary level 9

Minimum salary: R376 596 per Annum
Requirements: An appropriate Bachelor's Degree/National Diploma (NQF level 7/6) or qualification specializing in Construction; At least three years' experience in managing construction projects; A postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage; A driver's license is a prerequisite; The position requires a person with a conceptual understanding of the rules and standards governing project administration and management; Ensure that the requirements for each project are spelt out by the job packaging/statutory requirements; Further requirements are risk management experience in project management; Good communication skills; written and spoken) skills; Proficiency in analysing and solving problems related to projects.
The ability to work with the team and excellence in gathering help needed in developing a working project management plan; Strong ability to give attention to details as well tested organizational skills; Strong knowledge and expertise in using modern information and communication technologies to projects; Adherence to project specifications, as well as to the regulatory body/ies guidelines for the project (NIAMMS CO; Knowledge of procurement processes.
Duties: The incumbent will be responsible to supervise different tasks in completing construction or repairs and maintenance projects. Responsible for the flow of information from the college level project supervisor (the organizational point where the service/project is requested) to the team regarding the project in the Department of Higher Education and Training (Department). Make the arrangement for projects documentation on the recommendations and specifications of the Department and ensure that specifications are met. Meet the project owner, ensure that appropriate
specification are met, or meet a higher standard. Update information on the project management tools. Make arrangement for the project completion based on specification of the project owner. Put a proficient team together to achieve the purpose of the work in changing circumstances using leadership and management expertise. Plan, commence, execute, supervise, assigned projects.
Senior Human Resource Officer (SL 8)

Minimum Salary: R316 791
Minimum Requirements: Three year National Diploma or equivalent in Human Resource Management or equivalent. 3 to 4 years relevant experience in Human Resource. Valid driver's license and Computer literacy; Knowledge of ITS and PERSAL will be added as an advantage.
Duties: Guide and advice staff members on Human resource related matters as required; Disseminate and communicate reports, procedural guidelines and documentation for the interpretation and implementation of policy; Submit reports to management regarding Human Resource matters as required,: Responsible for facilitating events on the training calendar in collaboration with the Skills Development Facilitator; Ensure that new employee induction on Campus takes place; Ensure that new employee induction on campus takes place. Ensure that job descriptions are availed to staff. Provide input into the Ekurhuleni West TVET College Workplace Skills plan, and college Training and Development plan. Marketing Officer (SL 8)

Minimum requirements: Three year National Diploma or equivalent in Marketing, 3-4 years' experience in Marketing environments
Duties: Manage student recruitment; ensure all EWC advertisements and media publications portray the brand EWC in an interesting and inspiring manner; Explore new markets and increase awareness of EWC; Collate information for publications and website; Update website timeously; liaise with stakeholders; establish relations with organization from different sectors; Develop a solicitation plan for sourcing funds and open days; manage events; Conduct researches and surveys; Write press releases: media invites and responding to media enquiries.

IT Specialist Technician (SL 8)

Minimum requirements: Three year National Diploma or equivalent in Information Technology; 3 years experience in IT environment.
Duties: Development and Maintenance of the college website. Install hardware, software and device drivers on standalone computers, Install and configure computer networks including LAN and WAN. Manage network configurations to ensure that all computers on a network cart communicate effectively Test computers peripherals, hardware and software to ensure that they are working appropriately, Upgrade software, patches and operating systems on a continuous basis, Install and configure monitors, keyboards and printers, Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, Act as a technical resource in order to assist users with resolving computer issues. Answer tickets and emails pertaining to users' computer problems. Ensure that all computers are secured effectively by installing and updating antivirus software, Set up and organize IPs appropriately, Train users on new software, Analyze network problems and manage preventative maintenance procedure, Explain the role of network applications and equipment to the end users
Finance Reconciliation Clerk (SL 7)

Duties: Reconcile EWC current account on a daily basis, Investigation and recording of irregular items on the bank statements, Reconcile bank transfer between sub bank accounts, Monthly reconciliation of all EWC current. call and fixed deposit accounts (excluding campuses); Monitoring and reconcile the un-cleared bank items control account for Corporate Centre; Monitoring the correct recording of the Ekurhuleni Metro, Telkom and Premicell accounts on ITS: Recording of usage of EWC cell phone and 3G cards; Filing of all supporting documents of the bank statements;
Filing of original tax invoices of debit orders: Filing of original tax invoices of debit orders: Processing of invoices on a monthly basis and Printing monthly accounts.
Chief Creditors Clerk (SL 7)
Ret: EWC 20/2019
Minimum Salary: R 257 508 per annum
Minimum Requirements: Three year National Diploma or equivalent in Finance, 2-3 years experience in Finn environment; knowledge of ITS and EXCEL.
Duties: Receive documents for payment, check for duplicate payments, goods received number, purchase order and obtain signatures according to delegation of authority; Receive and distribute requisitions for payment; Capturing of invoices; Forwards order documents to procurement clerk for processing, Oversee and delegate payment of accounts, forward checklist to creditors clerk or
payments clerk; Forward filing to creditors clerks and payment clerks, Manage. monitor and monthly reconciliation of all Service Level Agreements/contracts, Reconcile monthly sub ledger and general ledger to ensure that all creditors' payments are properly posted, Prepare journals for correction of misallocation on general ledger accounts; verify general ledger accounts used to purchase goods and services, assist with audit queries and follow-up enquiries related to creditors.
Chief Marketing Clerk (SL 7)

Asset Clerk (SL 5)

Minimum Salary: R 173 703
Minimum requirement: Three year National Diploma in Financial Management or equivalent; 1 to 2 years experience.
Duties: Upkeep and consolidation of the Asset Register on the Business Management System; Administration of the biannual stock-take at all Campuses and Corporate Centre; Capturing of movements of assets of Ekurhuleni West TVET College; Capturing of newly-bought assets to Asset Register; Preparation of written-off or lost assets lists; Barcoding of assets. and assistance at other Campuses; Inventory or assets lists preparation; Physical stock-taking of assets at all delivery sites; Verification of assets disposed of at all sites after approval and collection; Consumables (toolbox assets) lists to be prepared for relevant venues and monitored; Records to be kept of all maintenance of assets, and recorded on the Business Management System; Inspection of all portable electrical equipment utilised at the College by means of a control checklist and Respective administration and office functions.
