PERMANENT ACADEMIC AND SUPPORT STAFF POSITIONS
 
Post Designation: Personal Assistant to the Principal (Re-Advertisement)

Minimum Salary:
  • R294 321 - R343 815 per annum, plus benefits (Salary Level 7).
 
Requirements:
  • Recognised National Diploma (NQF 6) in secretarial, or equivalent qualification;
  • 1-2 Year's appropriate experience in clerical / administrative environment;
  • Driver's license;
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, and computer literacy, will be an added advantage.
 
Duties:
  • Receives telephone calls in an environment where, in addition to the calls for the Senior Manager, discretion is required to decide to whom they should be forwarded.
  • Performs advanced typing work.
  • Records the engagements of the Senior Manager.
  • Coordinates with and sensitizes/advises the manager regarding engagements.
  • Compiles realistic schedules of appointments.
  • Ensures the safekeeping of all documentation in the office of the manager, in line with relevant legislation and policies.
  • Provide support to the manager regarding meetings: collect and compile all necessary documents for the manager to inform him/her on the content.
  • Record minutes / decisions and communicate to relevant role players, follow up on the progress made.
  • Prepare briefing notes for manager as required.
  • Compare the MTEF allocation with the requested budget and inform the manager of changes.
  • Remain abreast of the procedures and processes that apply in the office of the manager.

  • Registered with South African Council for Educators (SACE);
  • Moderator and Assessor certificate will be an added advantage;

Post Description:
  • Principles of Computer Programming Level 3 – 4;
  • Data Communication Level 3;
  • Introduction to System Development Level 2;
  • International Computer Driving Licence;
  • N+ Computer Technician;
  • A+ Computer Technician.
