Purpose:

To facilitate and offer a set of skills and behaviours that are necessary for the candidate to achieve success in their chosen field as well as to learn how to interact with superiors, co-workers, clients and navigate the corporate environment with ease and confidence.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Have an understanding to facilitate and monitor Summative and Formative assessments on the following unit standards: 13940, 119676, 114943, 117171, 114979 and 114932.

Minimum Requirements:

An appropriate, recognized National Diploma in Marketing or equivalent is required;
0 - 1 Year's experience in the Insurance Environment;
Must be computer literate;
A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.

Post description:

To engage in facilitating learning which will foster a purposeful progression in learning and which is consistent with unit standards as determined;
To prepare learning taking into account orientation, new approaches, techniques, assessment methods, aids etc. in the field;
Must have knowledge of the subject (the unit standard) and is a Subject Matter Expert (SME), also have broad knowledge of the subject and that includes practical experience;
To plan, co-ordinate, control, administer, evaluate and report on learners’ progress;
To establish a classroom, or learning facility environment which stimulates positive learning and actively engages learners in the learning process;
To consider and utilise the learners’ own experiences as a fundamental and valuable resource;
To co-ordinate and control all the academic and practical activities of each subject or program offered and to foster administrative efficiency;
To take responsibility for stock and equipment that is used;
To participate in agreed facilitator assessment or appraisal processes in order to regularly review professional practice with the aim of improving learning and managing facilitation;
To contribute to the professional development of colleagues by sharing knowledge, ideas and resources;
To remain informed of current developments in educational thinking and curriculum and program development;
To collaborate with facilitators as required;
To report to the Head of Department and discuss the conduct and progress of learners (as required);
To contribute to and / or update professional views and standards.

NC(V) Pure Mathematics L2-L4.

Duties:

Engage in learning / facilitating as per workload;
Assess and record the performance of students;
Manage a learning program;
Develop the policy for the program;
Provide guidance on the latest developments on approaches to the program;
