NOMINATION OF 3 MEMBERS TO SERVE ON THE COLLEGE COUNCIL SUB-COMMITTEES
Ekurhuleni East TVET College is a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college, operating in terms of the Continuing Education and Training Act, No. 16 of 2006, under the auspices of the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). The College has campuses/delivery sites in Benoni, Brakpan, Daveyton, Kwa-Thema, and Springs, and an Artisan and Skills Development Centre.
Ekurhuleni East TVET College hereby invites members of the public to nominate a suitable, qualified and experienced person of good standing in the community, with a good understanding of the functioning of a Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) College, the Continuing Education and Training (CET) Act of 2006, as amended and the importance of partnerships between TVET Colleges and industry, to serve on the College Council Sub-committees, in terms of Section 12(b) of the CET Act, Act 16 of 2006, as amended.
3 additional positions to serve on the college council committees and not as college council members. The appointment will commence on 01 November 2025. Furthermore, the members (nominees) are to be nominated by a member of the public (nominator), supported by a witness. Nominees are required to attach certified copies of their qualifications and identity documents to their CVs. All nominees will be subjected to a vetting process.
The skills and attributes necessary for consideration for the positions are a good mix or combination: A minimum of 5-10 years’ relevant experience and qualification in IT and IT Governance. Experience and qualification in Audit and Corporate Governance. Industry experience at a senior management level will be an added advantage. Candidates registered with the relevant professional bodies will be an added advantage.
