STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES OFFICER: FINANCIAL AID (SL7)
Salary: R257 508 per annum (excluding benefits)

• Three (3) Years Fixed Term Contract
Minimum Requirements: National Diploma/Degree in Finance or any equivalent qualification. 2 years' relevant experience. Computer literacy. A valid driver's licence.
Competencies, Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of CET Act. Knowledge of DHET Student Support Services policies and procedures in relation to Student Financial Aid Services. Knowledge of student code of conduct. Good Interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Presentation and report-writing skills, Planning and Organising skills. Written and verbal communication skills. Professionalism, client services focus,
Integrity, committed and Proactive.
Duties and Responsibilities: Implement the DHET student's bursary policies and guidelines. Notify students on bursary application dates and processes to follow. Assist students with online bursary application. Receive and verify student's bursary application documentation against the approved checklist. Compile database on provisionally funded students. Assist successful bursary applicants to sign their schedule for particulars online. Participate in the implementation of the student's attendance policy for DHET bursary recipients. Compile and submit reports on student financial aid services. Comply with the Colleges policies and procedures.

Certified copy of the drivers licence, where required, must be provided. All qualifications obtained from institutions outside South-Africa should be accompanied by certified copies of SAQA certificate. Clearly indicate the experience where applicable (DD-MM-YYYY). Successful candidate will be subjected to security screening.
