The ETDP SETA is recruiting for competent, self — motivated and dynamic candidates to fill the following position:
BURSARY ADMINISTRATOR
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL BE BASED IN HEAD OFFICE - MARSHALLTOWN JOHANNESBURG
SALARY: R276 412.50 — R339 171.30 per annum (Total Cost to Company)
This is a fixed term position until 31.MARCH 2020.
The appointee will be responsible for processing the Discretionary Grants Bursaries (Unemployed Beneficiaries) and to be the first point of contact for all divisions and approved bursary with regarding to all applicable payments. The incumbent will ensure compliance with government regulations, implementing Discretionary Policy on unemployed bursary related matters of payment progress; proof of Payment; analysis and determination of payable amount; closing of student account; termination of Bursary Agreement and Bursary Budget Reconciliation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:The successful incumbent will be reporting to the Contract Management Specialist and will also develop strong working relationships with provincial offices and other business units within the ETDP SETA and all South African Higher Education Institutions. The incumbent should meet the following minimum requirements:
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:A minimum three years National Diploma (NQF Level 6) In Management or Administration or Human Resources Management as recognised by SAQA/CHE.
• Three (3) years' proven experience in an office administration environment or experience of operating student records of similar system.
• Experience in higher education administrative or bursaries environment will be an added advantage.
• Computer Literacy at an intermediate level.
KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: Knowledge of PFMA; Knowledge of Skills Development systems and processes • Experience in database management • Be able to travel extensively • Be able to interact professionally across all levels and externally • Be someone with a high service orientation, as well as friendly and presentable at all times • Have effective interpersonal and communication skills • Have good time management skills and be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines • Have high attention to detail • Be able to work independently as well as within a team • Ability to produce and analyse data/reports for management of bursary information (e.g. Excel spreadsheets at intermediate level) • Ability to reconcile mid-term and year end reports • Ability to maintain confidentiality • Be able to analyse and follow policies and procedures in service delivery • Excellent written/oral communication skills • Ability to act on own initiative and meet deadlines • Sound multi-tasking and organisational skills with the ability to work effectively in a complex environment with little supervision.
