Reporting Line : ACCELERATION ACTION TEAM COORDINATOR

The following 2 Specialist positions are available:
 
 
1. SPECIALISTS: AQUACULTURE
Duration: 1 year
Main purpose of the Position:
Work closely with the delivery team and research colleagues and manage the Marine Tilapia Industry project and other aquaculture projects to implement the vision of the ECRDA and partners, as well as meet the requirements of both industry and regulators.
 
Minimum requirements:
Educational
• Post-matric qualification in Aquaculture/Marine/Environmental Studies or equivalent
 
Experience
• Experience in commercial aquaculture, with experience in Marine Tilapia an added advantage
• Strong Project Management experience
 
Competencies Required:
• Excellent writing skills
• Networking on various levels (work closely with other key technical experts from national and provincial government, as well as other institutional spheres)
• Analytical ability
• Teamwork
• Planning (ability key priority actions and respective activities)

• Project Management Skills

2. SPECIALIST: RISK MANAGEMENT
Duration: 4 Months
Main purpose of the Position:
To develop and consolidate risk management policy, systems, standard operation procedures and related tools.
 
Minimum requirements:
Educational
• 3-Year Risk management or related qualification
 
Experience
• 2-5 years’ experience in Risk Management in a project environment
• Good understand of relevant legislation associated with Government.
 
Competencies Required:
• Excellent writing skills (Learning Interventions, Assessment and Moderation)
• Networking on various levels (work closely with other key technical experts from national and provincial government spheres)
• Analytical ability
• Teamwork
• Planning (ability to prioritize activities)
• Leading (leading the capacity development process)
• Project Management Skills
