Position: YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROJECT COORDINATOR (one year fixed term contract)

Purpose
Reporting to the Human Development Manager, The role of the co-ordinator is to facilitate recruitment of the youth into internally and externally funded projects. The sourcing of the Youth is facilitated in close collaboration with human resources and line management function. Projects range from Work Integrated Learning and Externally Funded Projects i.e. YES (Youth and Environmental Services), Environmental Monitors and Tourism Monitors.

 Requirements
  • A Degree in Human Resources/ Social Science with three years’ relevant experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Report Writing Competencies.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to Reserves across the Eastern Cape.

Key Performance Areas
  • Recruitment, Selection and Placements: Undertake recruitment, process and serve as secretariat on recruitment panels.

  • Provide, coordinate inputs for development of policy guidelines, principles and action plans which will include the following: Identification of policy gaps in implementation of the youth programmes, provide guidance and interventions thereof.
  • Monitor implementation of the development requirements in line with the MOU’s signed with External Funders.
  • Facilitate capacitation and development of mentors.
  • Conduct and facilitate capacity building programmes for the Youth.
  • Provide overall administration and report writing as and when necessary.
  • General Human Resources: Assist and provide support and generalist HR function to learners.
