SENIOR INSPECTOR: QUALITY ASSURANCE
COMPLIANCE AND ENFORCEMENT DIVISION: HEAD OFFICE

Requirements
Minimum requirement: Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Law, or equivalent. Five (5) years working experience in Compliance and Legal field at Middle Management level, preferable within the Public Service. Experience with regulatory compliance will be an added advantage. A valid driver’s licence.
 
Key competencies and skills
Sound knowledge of interpretation and application of legal and compliance management in the public sector. Knowledge and experience of compliance regulatory frameworks. Strong leadership and communication skills at all levels. Analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work in team context. Relevant industry certifications. Excellent reporting and presentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Inspection Software.
 
Key Performance Areas
  • Support the Chief Inspector to ensure that the liquor legislation, regulations, rules and conditions of licensed registrants are enforced by the Inspectors.
  • Assist with the development of and implementation of the Compliance & Enforcement Division (CED) Business Plan.
  • Conduct quality assurance on liquor licence applications and inspection reports submitted for consideration to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and regulations.
  • Responsible for undertaking quality assurance of systems to identify missing documents or information and liaising with district offices and other stakeholders to collate required information for deadlines.
  • Contribute to the development of guidelines, standard operating procedures, processes, and documentation to support the division in meeting required standards for recording performance information as well as inspection reports.
  • Monitor divisional efficiencies to ensure that proper administrative and operational controls are in place for the divisional performance in district offices.
  • Collect, review, consolidate and compile divisional monthly, quarterly, mid-term and annual performance information reports.
  • Provide guidance to district offices in the resolution and management of complaints received from members of communities and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Attend to intergovernmental stakeholders’ relations to enhance collaboration between all relevant law enforcement agencies.

The Eastern Cape Liquor Board presents exciting opportunities / positions for unemployed graduates between the ages of 18 and 35 through its Internship Programme. Successful applicants will be appointed for 24 months and will undergo on-the-job development training that will be crucial for them to enter the formal job market.
 
To qualify for the ECLB Internship Programme, a candidate should: 
  • Unemployed graduate between 18 and 35 years of age
  • Have completed a Degree/National Diploma (NQF 6) or Honours or Masters in the under-mentioned disciplines/fields of study from accredited Institutions of Higher Learning 
  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must have not participated in any internship in the Public Service.
 
The organisation is looking for interns to be exposed in the following fields of work for a period of 24 months subject to the conditions of its internship programme.

The Eastern Cape Liquor Board presents exciting opportunities for unemployed graduates between the ages of 18 and 35 to participate in the Alcohol Harm Reduction Project that is implemented in all the Eastern Cape Province institutions of higher learning in the. Successful applicants will be appointed for 24 months.
 
REQUIREMENTS: - 
To qualify for the ECLB Internship Programme, a candidate should: 
  • Be an unemployed graduate between 18 and 35 years;
  • Have Matric/Grade 12;
  • Have completed a Degree/National Diploma (NQF 6) or Honours or Masters in disciplines/fields of study from accredited Institutions of Higher Learning; 
  • Must be a South African citizen
 
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
  • To run the anti-alcohol abuse campaign
  • To ensure that projects are managed in their entirety across all University departments
  • To coordinate projects in universities
  • To provide constructive feedbacks and reporting to Social Accountability Division
  • Planning of anti-alcohol abuse events in universities
  • Plan and manage services provided by external stakeholders
  • Leading, communicating clearly, team motivation and conflict resolution
  • Motivating team members and students
  • Relay anti-alcohol abuse messages.
