MANAGER – SECURITY RISK MANAGEMENT
PERMANENT APPOINTMENT
GRADE 17 (Total Cost to Company)
The incumbent shall be responsible for the security risk management function within the ECDC. The role entails assessment of security risks facing the ECDC brand, assets and personnel; formulation of a comprehensive strategy for security risk management; development of an operational plan relating to prevention and mitigation of identified security risks; as well as directing and monitoring of the implementation of responsive measures. The incumbent shall also be expected to spearhead and maintain relations and partnerships with relevant security structures provincially and nationally directed at strengthening security relating to ECDC brand, assets and personnel through accessing requisite expertise and support. Functions under this role include the development of a Security Risk Management Policy and Plan for the ECDC and a framework for the conducting physical and non-physical security appraisals for ECDC properties and directing the development and implementation of a vetting strategy, where required. The incumbent shall be expected to provide specialist security advice and recommendations to EXMA, Board and key stakeholders with an ultimate aim of establishing and maintaining a professional security risk management function within the ECDC.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A relevant bachelor’s degree or NQF Level 7 qualification.
- A minimum of 7 years relevant working experience in security risk management and/or intelligence services field with at least three years at middle management or senior consultancy level.
- A deep understanding of security threats and risk assessment frameworks is a must.

MANAGER: ICT INFRASTRUCTURE AND OPERATIONS
PERMANENT APPOINTMENT-HEAD OFFICE
Grade 16-R854 800- R1 237 800 (Total Cost to Company)
The incumbent will be responsible for management of the ECDC ICT infrastructure and operational environment directing the provision of ICT support services to various business units. The incumbent is also expected to provide leadership relating to planning, strategies and measures for the ECDC's future technological needs as an integral element of the broader ECDC ICT Corporate Strategy and Plan. The role is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining relevant policies, standard operating procedures, guidelines and processes, towards achieving effective ICT services and compliance with ICT standard requirements. The incumbent will further scope, direct and oversee IT projects supporting business units and ensure business unit needs are fulfilled, contracted service providers are effectively managed, while managing project risks and ensuring healthy communication between the business unit and the service provider.
The incumbent will also be responsible for ensuring that that the ECDC is appropriately insured against losses and damages relating to ICT and strategic ICT support assets where required; implementing business continuity measures to minimizing downtime and costs; and overseeing processes relating to corporate information storage, website and intranet maintenance, and business unit technical support. Furthermore, the incumbent will be responsible for management and prevention of relevant ICT operational risks. The incumbent will provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate and lead team members towards optimum performance levels and career development.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or similar professional qualification (NQF 7)
- 7 year’s relevant experience within ICT, with 3 years at a supervisory or senior consultant role.
- Experience in Infrastructure Support, Information Security and ICT Operations Management, Network (LAN/WAN) and Server Infrastructure Management, Cloud Services, Incident/Problem and Change Management, Backup and Disaster Recovery as well as Vendor Management.
