Registration with the HPCSA as BAA. None after registration with the HPCSA as BAA. Knowledge of Basic Life Support protocols. A valid code 10 driver’s license with PDP. Grade 3: Successful completion of an appropriate Intermediate Life Support (ILS) course that allows registration with HPCSA as an Ambulance Emergency Assistant (AEA). Registration with the HPCSA as AEA. Experience: None after registration with HPCSA as AEA. Knowledge of Intermediate Life Support protocols. A valid code 10 driver’s license with PDP. 
 
DUTIES : Render Emergency Medical Care and Transportation of the sick and injured according to HPCSA protocols. Handle Basic administration, patient records, vehicles checklists, log sheets and other necessary administrative duties. Maintain and clean all equipment, vehicles and base station. Undertake inter-facility transfers of patients. Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
