The Eastern Cape Department of Health Is looking for the services of individuals registered with the Health ProfessionsCouncil of South Africa. EMERGENCY CARE OFFICER GRADE 3
SALARY: R 197 343 - R 255 087 per annum (OSD)

REQUIREMENTS: Successful completion of an appropriate Intermediate Life Support (ILS) course that allows registration with HPCSA as an Ambulance Emergency Assistant (AEA). Registration with the HPCSA as AEA.
Experience: None after registration with HPCSA as AEA. Knowledge of Intermediate Life Support protocols. A valid code 10 driver's licence with PDP.
EMERGENCY CARE TECHNICIAN
SALARY: R 239 682 - R 378 546 per annum (OSD)
GRADE I: R 239 682 - R 285 478 per annum (OSD)
GRADE 2: R 290 943 - R 330 348 per annum (OSD)
GRADE 3: R 339 546 - R 378 546 per annum (OSD)
REQUIREMENTS: Grade 1: Successful completion of an appropriate Emergency Care Technician Course that allowsregistration with HPCSA as an Emergency Care Technician (ECT). Registration with the HPCSA as ECT. None afterregistration with HPCSA as an ECT. Grade 2: Successful completion of an appropriate Emergency Care TechnicianCourse that allows registration with HPCSA as an Emergency Care Technician (ECT). Registration with the HPCSA as ECT. 7 years' experience after registration with HPCSA as an ECT. Grade 3: Successful completion of an appropriate Emergency Care Technician Course that allows registration with HPCSA as an Emergency Care Technician (ECT). Registration with the HPCSA as ECT. 14 years' experience after registration with HPCSA as an ECT. Knowledge of Advanced Life Support protocols within the ECT scope of practice. A valid code 10 driver's licence with PDP.
PARAMEDIC
SALARY: R 290 943 - R 581 655 per annum (OSD)
GRADE 1: R 290 943 - R 344 697 per annum (OSD)
GRADE 2: R 359 691 - R 424 233 per annum (OSD)
GRADE 3: R 440 904 - R 501 630 per annum (OSD)

REQUIREMENTS: Grade 1: Successful completion of Critical Care Assistant Programme (CCA) that allowsregistration with HPCSA as a Paramedic. Registration with HPCSA as a Paramedic. None after registration with HPCSAas Paramedic. Grade 2: Successful Completion of the following courses or obtaining of the following qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as a Paramedic: Critical Care Assistant (CCA Qualification) or recognized National Diploma. Registration with HPCSA as Paramedic with CCA or National Diploma. 7 years' experience after registration with HPCSA as Paramedic(CCA). None After registration with HPCSA as paramedic (National Diploma). Grade 3:Successful Completion of the following courses or obtaining of the following qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as a Paramedic: Critical Care Assistant (CCA Qualification) or recognized National Diploma or successfulcompletion of BTech Degree that allows registration with HPCSA as an Emergency Care Practitioner (ECP). EMS SHIFT LEADER GRADE 3 - 5
SALARY: R 303 486 - R 494 487 per annum (050)
REQUIREMENTS: Grade 3: Successful completion of ILS courses that allows registration with the HPCSA as AEA.Registration with HPCSA as AEA. 3 years' experience after registration with HPCSA as AEA. Grade 4: Successfulcompletion of an appropriate Emergency Care Technician Course that allows registration with HPCSA as an EmergencyCare Technician (ECT). Registration with the HPCSA as ECT. 3 years' experience after registration with HPCSA as an ECT. Grade 5: Successful Completion of the following courses or obtaining of the following qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as a Paramedic: Critical Care Assistant (CCA Qualification) or recognized National Diploma. Registration with HPCSA as Paramedic. 3 years' experience after registration with HPCSA as Paramedic. Candidates must have good communication, interpersonal skills and be computer literate. A valid code 10 driver's license with PDP.
