CREDITORS CLERK
SIX MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT
MIN R15 217.33 – MAX R25 972.00 PER MONTH
(INTERNAL & EXTERNAL)
The organisation is calling for suitable candidates to apply for the position of Creditors Clerk.
The Creditors Clerk will be responsible for processing of invoices, prepare supplier reconciliation, filing of invoices after payments, payment run and liaising with suppliers (Purchase orders and remittance of completion)
The incumbent will report to Finance Manager
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
Minimum Qualifications
Diploma in Accounting and or relevant NQF level 5 qualification
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a highly pressurized work environment

KEY PERFORMANCE / MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THIS ROLE
Provide timeous and accurate processing of invoices
Check supplier invoices if they comply with VAT
Process Supplier invoices into the system
Prepare supplier reconciliation according to the required standards
Ensure timeous and accurate processing of invoices
Attend to departmental audit queries during internal and external audit
Manage and maintain archiving and filling of supplier invoices
Prepare payment batch in the system and upload to the business banking online
Update the system with payments made to ensure the creditor’s leger is kept up to date.

KEY PERFORMANCE / MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THIS ROLE
Coordinate the application of procedures in respect of procurement and/or purchasing of food or non-food items/products
Liaise with personnel across various department in respect of Departmental requirements and priorities
Receive requisitions from departments and action accordingly
Negotiate pricing with suppliers to ensure cost containment is maintained
Review proposals from vendors/suppliers with regards to products, prices and service delivery standards
Continuously liaise with suppliers in order to resolve aspects pertaining to product quality discounts and delivery lead time
Receive samples of alternative /substitute products and forward to departments for approval
Conduct site visits of businesses that have been shortlisted as Durban ICC’s preferred supplier to assess capability of meeting Durban ICC’s requirement
Conduct quality checks of products and administrative systems
Analyse inventory schedules to determine critical needs
Forward reports to the Manager: SCM and Compliance for approval

The Revenue Accountant will be responsible for the accurate accounting of all revenue and related transactions which will also include monthly reconciliations.

KEY PERFORMANCE / MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THIS ROLE
Ensure that all events are invoiced accurately and completely on the system
Ensure that outstanding invoices are correctly accounted for at the end of the month
Ensure that all invoiced events have been supported by complete, valid and accurate supporting documentation
Ensure that before each month end close, there is a complete and accurate reconciliation of all events invoiced on the system
Ensure that the payment collection and debt management policy is adhered to, at all times
Ensure that outstanding debts are regularly followed up on, and timeously collected
Ensure that the debt age analysis schedule is circulated to senior management on a monthly basis
Ensure that POS revenue is completely and accurately recorded at each month
Ensure that parking and tenant revenue is accurately accounted for at each month end
Ensure that the revenue budget projections are completely and accurately accounted forecasted during annual mid –term review process
Undertake accurate monthly reconciliations of all bank and cash accounts, which includes the cash book.
