FOOD & BEVERAGE SUPERVISOR (TG 11)
MIN: R360 429.02 MAX R607 119.23 PER ANNUM

The organisation is calling for suitable candidates to apply for the position of Food & Beverage Supervisor.
The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for providing supervision over beverage set ups, live events and service delivery of events at the Durban ICC.
The incumbent will report to the Food & Beverage Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
Minimum Qualifications
National Diploma in Hospitality
Three (03) to five (05) years’ experience preferably in the Hospitality and Events Industry.

KEY PERFORMANCE / MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THIS ROLE
Properly plan for events and functions, by ensuring that event requirements are in place;
Attend to pre event meetings with Clients and Event Coordinators where necessary;
Prepare staffing schedule and attend to event forward planning meetings;
Ensure that beverage requirements for events and or functions meet the required stock level;
Communicate with kitchen staff on all requirements to ensure smooth delivery of food and beverage items at mealtimes;
Allocate Cashiers to individual events and issue cash float as required;
Supervise Food & Beverage Coordinators before, during and after events;
Ensure that requirements on the operations sheet is adhered to;
Conduct inspections to ensure all beverage equipment is cleaned, maintained and returned to storage;
Monitor guest comments and investigate service lapses with the staffing service providers
Ensure that operational documentation and filing system is maintained;
Ensure relevant information is provided in the Event Service reports;
Process equipment, and beverage orders on the ERP system;
Accountable for cash handling, from issuing stage, receiving counting and collecting cash floats prior and after events from Cashiers;
Plan, organize and lead monthly stock takes;
Provide monitoring and maintenance of all boardrooms; meeting rooms; hospitality suites; and premier suites is carried out;
Ensure all internal bookings are monitored and food/beverage requirements delivered according to booking requirements;
Monitor coffee shop activities, cash up and flexi staff rosters are adhered to;
Complete beverage recons and share information with service providers;
Calculate time in lieu for all Functions Department;
Perform human capital management functions.
