JOB PURPOSE:
To supervise and administer the implementation of SCM practises and processes. Co-ordinates and controls processes associated with the procuring of products and/or specific services through interaction and communication internally and externally on aspects pertaining to the availability of products and/or alternatives, pricing, quality, lead times and services delivery standards against agreed terms and conditions and, attends to specific administrative information processing and reporting requirements. Responsible for the direct management of two (2) staff members and indirect management of nine (9) staff members.
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POST
• Grade 12
• National Diploma in Finance/ Accounting/ Supply Chain Management related field or equivalent
OTHER REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
• Computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel, E-mail)
• Valid drivers’ license
• Accuracy and ability to give attention to detail
• Supervisory skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Communication skills
• Numerical skills
• Minimum competency requirements
• Sound understanding of the municipal finance management environment and the service delivery role of local government
• General management skills
• Bilingualism, communication and interpersonal skills to interact with other departments
EXPERIENCE:
• 3-4 years relevant experience
SALARY SCALE:
TASK LEVEL 12 - Basic salary per annum is R354 276.76 – R459 863.06
Total Cost to Company R523 217.09 – R658 101.30 per annum. 2
A service bonus equal to one month’s salary is payable and normal fringe benefits related to Local Authorities, subject to certain conditions.
