ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT: TENDER EVALUATIONS

JOB PURPOSE: 
To supervise and coordinate the tender evaluation and screening processes and procedures through the application of the regulatory framework and authorised methods pertaining to the compilation and maintenance of tender registers and to compile and submit relevant reports on a regular basis on tenders to be considered and awarded through the Supply Chain Management process. Responsible for the direct management of one (1) staff member and indirect management of one (1) other staff member.

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POST 
• Grade 12 
• National Diploma in Financial Management or Supply Chain Management 
 
OTHER REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS: 
• Minimum competency requirements 
• Computer literacy (Solar, MS Excel, MS Word, E-mail, MS PowerPoint) 
• Valid Code B drivers’ license 
• Accuracy and ability to give attention to detail

• Able to prioritise multiple tasks, work independently and objectively

• 3-4 years relevant experience



SALARY SCALE: 
TASK LEVEL 11 - Basic salary per annum is R300 074.11 – R389 502.75 
Total Cost to Company R453 974.38 – R568 217.53 per annum 
 
A service bonus equal to one month’s salary is payable and normal fringe benefits related to Local Authorities, subject to certain conditions.
