DUTIES : Direct the development and facilitate the implementation of government’s overarching SOC Policy Framework for the Transport and Aviation Complex. Direct and initiate research projects to define the policy “gaps” affecting the optimal functioning of SOCs in the Transport and Aviation Complex. In collaboration with SOCs, industry and research institutions develop bridging strategies to enhance the operations of the SOCs in the Complex. Lead consultation processes for the adoption of bridging strategies and policy instruments.
