DUTIES : Criminal investigations and administrative enforcement in relation to invasive alien species within the country. Drafting of enforcement strategies to inform actions to be taken. Drafting of legal documents, notices, affidavits, charge sheets, plea and sentence agreements. Obtain warning statements from suspects, open criminal cases to prosecute offenders. Consult with prosecutors, police and all other stakeholders regarding criminal investigations. Provide support in the coordination of the development and implementation of the species conservation tools such as conservation strategies. Provide technical inputs related to species conservation and management into relevant Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs). That is the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) and the Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds (AEWA). Provide support in the evaluation and the process for approval of Elephant Management Plans developed by the provincial conservation Authorities and conservation entities.
