The company provides state of the art turnkey solutions for defence equipment by designing, developing, integrating and supporting artillery, munitions, missiles, aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles systems and optical payloads based on high-end technology. Denel also provides in-flight testing of advanced guided weapons and aviation systems.
Purpose of the Position:
To accurately manage and maintain employee records, the HR database, and benefit administration to ensure data integrity for reporting and payroll input. To maintain an accurate and effective record-keeping system for easy retrieval of documentation and ensure regular updates of employee information.
To attend to the employees’ and HRBP requests promptly and provide support with HR projects when required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain an effective filing system for employee records in line with POPIA and BCEA requirements. Provide accurate data for management reports. Support the review and updating of HR documentation to ensure all records are current.
• Facilitate documentation for the entire employee life cycle and exits Conduct pre‑employment checks
• Assist with internal and external audit requirements. Collate and verify completeness of all documentation required for monthly payroll.
• Capture data for new appointments, terminations, and employee information updates. Issue and process employee benefit documentation (medical aid, UIF, retirement fund). Act as the point of contact for internal and external queries, directing them appropriately. Provide administrative support for HR systems projects.
• Process employee documentation for appointments, changes during service, and terminations.
Qualification, Experience and Knowledge Requirements
• Minimum National Diploma in Human Resource Management equivalent to NQF 6.
• At least 3 years’ administrative experience in a Human Resources environment.
• Competent knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
• Experience working with HR software.
• Competent in Microsoft Office
