CROSS-BORDER ROAD TRANSPORT AGENCY ("C-BRTA")
The Cross-Border Road Transport Agency ("C-BRTA") is a statutory authority, established in terms of Section 4 of the Cross-Border Road Transport Act, 4 of 1998, as amended, to regulate cross-border road transport. The C-BRTA is a Schedule 3C public entity in terms of the Public Finance Management Act, No. 1 of 1999 as amended.
AUDIT AND RISK COMMITTEE MEMBER

REQUIREMENTS:The C-BRTA hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates with expertise and /or experience in Information and Communications Technology ("ICT") to serve on its Audit and Risk Committee.
Candidates can apply personally or be nominated by a third person. Applicants / nominees working and residing in Gauteng and who have public service experience will be given preference. Experience in or knowledge of the transport industry will be an advantage.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: In addition to the above ICT expertise, candidates should demonstrate experience in participating in governance structures, ability to dedicate time to the activities of C-BRTA's Audit and Risk Committee, have an inquisitive personality within reasonable levels of probing, analytical reasoning abilities and good communication skills, and a fair understanding of the regulatory framework within which national departments operate.
TERM AND CONDITIONS OF APPOINTMENT: Term of appointment: Appointments will be made for a period of three (3) years after which, the Board of Directors for C-BRTA may renew the appointment period for another term. This is not a full-time appointment. The Audit and Risk Committee normally holds 4 scheduled meetings per annum. Additional meetings may be convened as deemed necessary by the Audit and Risk Committee or the Committee Chairman.
REMUNERATION: Members of the Audit and Risk Committee are remunerated in accordance with tariffs approved by National Treasury.
APPLICATIONS: Submission of nominations/applications: All nominations / applications must be accompanied by a comprehensive curriculum vitae and certified copies of relevant qualifications. In the case of nominations, a letter of acceptance of the nomination must also be submitted. Failure to submit the latter may lead to the disqualification of the nomination.
