PROCUREMENT OFFICERS X2
Peromnes Grade: P10 (R 528 740, 89 CTC Per Annum)
Location: Head Office: Pretoria
Reporting Line: Manager: Supply Chain
Overall Job Purpose: To expedite purchases in accordance with CGS policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Obtain approved specifications and motivations for purchases from units.
  • Source suppliers from the Central Supplier Database and externally where necessary in line with procurement procedures.
  • Prepare requisitions for orders.
  • Send orders to selected suppliers and unit administrators.
  • Follow-up on orders and queries.
  • Ensure CGS BBBEE expenditure targets are achieved.
  • Ensure Budgets are not exceeded.
  • Oversee and monitor supplier performance.
  • Check for tax compliance of suppliers throughout the request for quotation process.
  • Write purchase reports for the request for quotation process.
  • Write purchase deviation reports for the request for quotation process.
  • Ensure safekeeping and filling of supplier database forms and tenders.
  • Ensure that suppliers are tax (SARS) compliant and any other Procurement compliance.
  • Ensure that all purchases comply with PPPFA.
  • Expedite purchases and comply with CGS internal policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with units about their purchases.
  • Perform reasonable duties as may be delegated by Procurement Specialist from time to time.
 
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Grade 12 and;
  • National Diploma (NQF 6) in Supply Chain Management/Logistics or equivalent qualification.
  • Degree/ B-Tech in Supply Chain Management/Logistics or equivalent qualification will be advantageous.
  • 2 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management.
  • Computer Literacy.
  • Knowledge of framework for supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of PFMA and PPPFA (Preferential procurement).

  • Must be goal oriented.
  • Must be assertive, loyal and reliable.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team set up environment.
  • Good communication and report writing skills.
  • Good planning and problem solving skills.

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT INTERNS X2
Position Status: Fixed Term Contract: 24 Months
Salary: R 13 000.00 Per Month
Location: Head Office
Reporting Line: Manager: Supply Chain Management
Overall Job Purpose: To expedite purchases in accordance with CGS policies, procedures and relevant legislation.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Obtain approved specifications and motivations for purchases from units.
  • Source suppliers from the Central Supplier Database and externally where necessary in line with CGS procurement procedures.
  • Prepare requisitions for orders.
  • Follow up with suppliers and unit administrators.
  • Follow-up on orders and queries.
  • Ensure CGS BBBEE expenditure targets are achieved.
  • Ensure that the procurement is within the Budgets.
  • Oversee and monitor supplier performance.
  • Write purchase evaluation reports for the request for quotation process
  • Write purchase deviation reports for the request for quotation process
  • Ensure safekeeping and filling of supplier database forms and tenders.
  • Ensure that suppliers are tax (SARS) compliant and any other Procurement compliance.
  • Assist with the tender process as and when required.
  • Ensure that all purchases comply with PPPFA.
  • Expedite purchases and comply with CGS internal policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with units about their purchases.
  • Perform reasonable duties as may be delegated by Procurement Specialist from time to time.
 
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Grade 12 and;
  • Three-year National Diploma (NQF 6) in Supply Chain/ Logistics or equivalent qualification.
  • A postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain/ Logistics or equivalent qualification will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of framework for the supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of PFMA and PPPFA (Preferential procurement).
  • No experience required.
