The Community Schemes Ombud Service Act (Act 9 of 2011) was promulgated on 11 June 2011 and provides for the establishment of the Community Schemes Ombud Service (“CSOS”) as a public entity. The CSOS has been classified as a Schedule 3A Public Entity in terms of the Public Finance Management Act (Act No.1 of 1999) (PFMA)

 

Job Description

  • Support of the Server Infrastructure, roles and services to ensure maximum uptime, optimal access to resources and continuity.
  • Provide effective and efficient end user support services
  • Liaise with suppliers and sub-departments to ensure continuous service delivery and improvement of service to the client in line with their requirements
  • Support the optimisation of the section/unit

 

Job Requirements

  • National Diploma in Information Technology or Equivalent
  • 3 – 4 Years of working experience in ICT support environment (Network / Systems Administrator)
  • Equivalent/Related qualification for the position:
  • A+
  • N+
  • End user computing
  • Microsoft Office 365 certification will be an added advantage

 

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of compliance and governance structures
  • Stakeholder management and the ability to develop and maintain stakeholder networks
  • Knowledge of project management administration, systems and tools
  • Information systems management
  • Good analysing techniques in order to understand the business needs and the workflow of the management and the administration tasks.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft networks and domain architectures
  • Good understand of helpdesk procedures and support service administration tools
  • Good understanding of network monitoring and support tools
  • Good understanding of the composition of a computer and parts
  • Understanding of IT Strategy and the business strategy of the organisation and the ability to align Applications Development with this strategy

 

Skills and Competencies:

  • Computer and network incident troubleshooting capabilities
  • Remote and face-to-face end user support
  • Service Desk maintenance and operations
  • End user onboarding and off boarding
  • Active directory administration (Azure and On-Premises)
  • Troubleshooting incidents and provide technical assistance and support
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems
  • Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs (SLA Adherence)
  • Confer with users to establish user requirements
  • Train CSOS staff on standard software applications and acceptable use
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network infrastructure problems
  • Install network infrastructure cables and peripherals (switches, hubs etc)
  • Mobile device management and support
  • Ensure all incidents that require the Change Control processes are documents and completed as change requests

  • Conduct spend analysis to inform sourcing strategies.
  • Conduct supplier market research and market intelligence
  • Assist in the maintenance of customer/ supplier/stakeholder relationships to ensure supply chain stability,monitor and drive governance, contract compliance and performance.

 

Job Requirements

  • National Senior Certificate
  • Diploma or Degree in: Commerce/Logistics/procurement/business administration
  • A minimum of 2 Years in Procurement / Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience in Public Sector Procurement would be an added advantage, with exposure to the following:
  • Public Finance Management Act
  • Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act
  • Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment Codes and Regulations
  • Treasury Regulations
