HR GENERALIST
Description
The Commission for Gender Equality (CGE) is an Independent statutory body established in terms of chapter nine of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996. The CGE is committed to a society free from gender oppression and all forms of inequality. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following position:
HR GENERALIST

SALARY LEVEL: 8 - SALARY PACKAGE: R397.116 PER ANNUM

Responsibilities
- Assist in providing strategic input and support on Human Resources Annual Performance Plan, budgets and Human Resources and Transformation Strategy.
- Assist in the development, review and ensure implementation of Human Resources policies, procedures and processes.
- Advise management and staff on all Human Resources policies, processes and procedures.
- Manage the recruitment and selection activities.
- Manage the conditions of service and service benefits.
- Coordinate Performance Management, Job Evaluation and Induction Programmes.
- Coordinate the Employee Wellness Programme.
- Coordinate, drive and implement the Skills Development Programmes including staff Bursaries.
Qualifications
Required Qualification and Training:
A National Diploma, Bachelors Degree or equivalent qualification in Human Resources Management. Must be a South African.
Experience Required
5 years relevant work experience in Human Resources Generalist work. Supervisory experience.
Required Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
- Knowledge and understanding of all applicable Human Resources legislation and prescripts including but not limited to, the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Employment Equity Act, Labour Relations Act, etc.
- Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel and HR SAGE.
- Good Presentation, policy analysis and writing skills.
- Communication skills at all levels (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Code 8 driver’s licence
