The Social Justice and Training Academy Department, in the National Office, has a vacancy for a Legal Researcher.
 
Purpose: To conduct in-depth research and analysis of the broader socio-economic context impacting on the labour market, employment trends, dispute resolution and social justice.  The primary goal is to provide accurate, comprehensive and well-supported insights to assist the Director, CCMA and Labour Market so as to inform decision making, policy development, strategic planning and enhanced labour market support.

Key Requirements:
  • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in employment or labour laws.
  • A formal qualification in Research would be an added advantage.
  • A formal qualification in Project Management is preferable.
  • Minimum of three (3) years as a researcher or related capacity at a tertiary institution, NGO or in the public/private sector.
  • Proven track record in research, including published papers, on legal and socio-economic topics, uplifting relevant substance, and preparing PowerPoint Presentations.
  • Experience in using legal and socio-economic databases and other research tools
 
Training:          
  • Training in writing and editing skills.
