The Governance and Strategy Department has a vacancy of a Committee Secretariat.
 
Purpose
Provide secretariat and administrative support services for the CCMA management and governance structures.
 
Key Performance Areas:-
  • Governance, Compliance and Secretariat services.
  • Pre-meeting Administration.
  • Delivery of Committee meeting administration.
  • Post-meeting administration.
  • Record keeping.
 
Key Requirements
  • Diploma: Business/Public Administration / CIS / LLB (or relevant equivalent).
  • Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) (will be an added advantage).
  • Institute of Directors (IOD) (optional).
  • 3 – 5 years’ practical experience in the field of Corporate Governance and Secretariat Services and/or similar position
  • 5 – 10 years Financial Management & Reporting experience

Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of business administration, finance/economics/legal
  • Knowledge of general administration and business improvement principles
  • Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and relevant legislation
  • Knowledge of MS Office programmes

  • Stress tolerance and ability to prioritise and work under pressure
  • Project Management Skills / Professional/technical expertise
  • Must be a people’s person with sound interpersonal skills

  • Sound communication skills (oral and written), good presentation skills, and ability to research and write comprehensive reports.
  • An LLB / ND: Public Administration or equivalent tertiary qualification will be an added advantage
  • Qualification and / or registration with CIS is an advantage
